What is the challenge?
Friday 10th March - Saturday 11th March 2017
The Forum, Norwich
The Challenge 2017: to upcycle, cut, burn, melt, fray, deconstruct, paint, distress, embroider, re-construct and re-purpose your own, catwalk-ready fashion collection entirely from donated, charity shop clothing.
We provide the raw materials, you bring the imagination.
The twist...? You have 24 hours. That's 24 hours, straight.
Big C, Norfolk's Cancer Charity and Age UK Norwich are giving us a mountain of stock from their shops and teams of up-for-it designers, makers, stylists and creatives will transform it into brand new creations. No design background is necessary, all you need is ideas and attitude!
The Fashion Jam at the Forum begins on 10th March at 6pm, and ends 24 hours later when you hand over your work.
You can sign up as an individual designer or get a team together of up to four people and put together a whole collection!
Fancy some inspiration? Have a look at what we got up to last year...
Want a bit more info before you commit? Check out The Rules.
You will also take part in the Fashion Jam Fashion Showcase at Norwich Castle on the evening of Monday 13th March 2017, for what will be a sustainably stylish evening of eco-fashion, music, entertainment and more!
The Fashion Jam Showcase is a chance for the public to admire all of your fabulous, fashion creations, which will be auctioned to raise money for the two charities involved. Find out more, here.
